What is Wing Chun

Miss Yim Wing ChunWing Chun the art of Chinese boxing and also known as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun. The art of wing chun originated in the southern regions of china in the 17th century and was created by a Shaolin Buddhist monk named Ng Mui. Ng Mui later passed her techniques it on to a young girl named Miss Yim Wing Chun and it was from this point the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu was born.

The art itself is well known for its trapping and fast striking techniques this includes punches, kicks, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open handed strikes.

 

The Wing Chun system is becoming increasingly popular around the world due to the efforts of people like Grandmaster Samuel Kwok and other wing chun enthusiasts alike.
